ENDERR is a French groove metal / metalcore band. The formation was founded in 2017 in the city of Annecy. The current debut album Seeds Of Darkness was released in November 2022 and contains 11 tracks.
According to the French site, their style is Deathcore, but after listening to them, I would rather classify them in the Groove Metal category with Metalcore influences. I think Deathcore doesn’t appreciate their complexity enough, so I’m forgiven for the new ranking. There is no intro on the album and we start right away with the opener “Bound By Fire”. Here, ENDERR immediately unleashed its great potential. They thunder with a fat sound and leave nothing to be desired in terms of sound. The headbanger faction will also be very excited about the groovy riffs and you have a marathon ahead of you in terms of neck training. But the band doesn’t forget the melodic aspect either and also lets in some Thrashy elements. The song is a mixture of growls and cries. But the title track “Seeds Of Darkness” is a very big plank on the disc and will probably burn in every ear canal immediately. This song simply offers everything a metal heart desires and has an absolute cult factor. ENDERR doesn’t let up and can consistently score points, with no other track coming close to the title track. The French are finally once again proof that neither Groove Metal nor the Metalcore genre is dead. They were absolutely able to convince me and make me want to participate in the division again!
Conclusion : With their first album Seeds Of Darkness, ENDERR delivers a hammered and grandiose board that can inspire metalheads of all genres!
